As people step into coaching and become more aware of the challenges they face in their career and personal journey, word of mouth and client testimonials aren’t enough to persuade them.

Leadership coaching today and moving forward must instead focus on legitimate credentials and proven models, showing the client the path they are about to follow can yield success. The promise of a big outcome won’t mean much if the coach cannot describe how they plan to get you there.

What Does This All Mean for the Client?

The industry will likely see a surge in new job openings and individuals entering the market. Clients will have more options than ever, but choosing between these options needs time.

Your leadership coach is most qualified and capable of helping you with your issue. Certification, experience, and proven models are just some elements you must assess before beginning a relationship with a new coach.

So, never base your decision on who makes the biggest promise. Review how the coach plans to help you reach your goals to make an informed decision.
