Nate Butler
Coach
Nate Butler is a cybersecurity leader, educator, and career transformation coach dedicated to helping professionals unlock opportunities they did not know were possible. With over a decade of experience spanning Fortune 500 organizations including Microsoft, EY, and Bank of America, as well as enterprise consulting environments, Nate brings a powerful blend of technical expertise and people-centered mentorship to every engagement.
Raised in an Army family across multiple states, Nate developed adaptability at an early age. Growing up as the “new kid” taught him how to read rooms, build connections quickly, and establish confidence in unfamiliar environments. Those early lessons now shape the way he coaches professionals navigating career transitions and new industries.
From shadowing IT teams in high school to leading complex security initiatives for global organizations, his journey reinforced a simple truth: success is not just about technical skill. It is about mindset, strategy, and positioning yourself correctly in a rapidly evolving industry.
Nate holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Computer Networking from Florida International University, where he conducted international research in Brazil and Amsterdam as a McNair Scholar. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity Leadership and holds the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
On a Personal Note
Growing up in an Army family, constantly moving and starting over, taught me adaptability, confidence, and how to find opportunity in unfamiliar environments. A pivotal moment in my career came when someone helped me see that I had been looking in one direction while opportunity was unfolding in another, and that redirection changed everything. Now, when I work with clients, I focus not just on their next right action, but on the leader they are becoming and the ripple effect their growth will create.
